Osun State Police Command on Thursday gave update on the student of Osun State University, Victor Oke, who was burnt alive by some suspected cultists over his refusal to join the secret cult has gave up the ghost while receiving treatment in the hospital.

This was disclosed by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, during an interview with The PUNCH Metro on the sidelines of the handing over of a patrol vehicle that was refurbished by a group in the state, Police and Personalities Forum to Osogbo Area Command of Nigeria Police Force, in Osogbo.
Opalola, who said the victim later gave up the ghost while receiving treatment, added that operatives had launched manhunt for the perpetrators.
“We are on their (perpetrators) trail. We are sure we are going to arrest them because we can’t allow such incident to continue. Before the last incident, we had enjoyed peace. Unfortunately, the victim died,” she said.
Speaking on the donation, the Osun State Coordinator of PAPEF, Dr. Rosin Odeyemi, said the group had earlier bought a patrol vehicle for a police division in Osogbo.
He assured that the group would continue to support the police by providing them with logistics that would enhance their productivity

A student of Plateau State University, PLASU, Nanshak Christopher Moris, known simply as Chris has committed suicide after posting a suicide note on his Facebook page on Sunday.
Chris asked God to bless some people who stood by him while he was passing through odds of life. He then asked God for forgiveness.
“The world is a bad place,” he added.
It later emerged that he took his life on Monday, Dec. 13.
Friends took to the comment of the post to reveal that Chris died after consuming a substance.
A photo of his body was shared by a friend as they mourned him. It shows him with a white substance at the top of his mouth. The deadly substance he allegedly consumed stained his white shirt.
One “friend” was angered by Chris’ action and made this known, calling out the dead man for leaving without thinking of his sister.

According to the flyer, The theme of the event is, “Implications of Ethical Misconduct in Professional Practice”.
The chairman of the occasion is Pharm. Ibrahim Haliru Binji (Deputy President North PSN National). The chief host is Prof.L.S Bilbis (Vice Chancellor, UDUS), the host is Prof. Musa Yarima (Dean FPS, UDUS), the guest of honor is Pharm. Al- Mustapha Othman Ali FPSN (Permanent secretary, Minister for Higher Education, Sokoto State) while the guest speaker is Barr. Mu’azu Liman Yabo.
