Chairman of the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC), Hashim Abioye, has alleged that officers of the Nigeria Police Force arrested commission staff on election duty across the state.

In a statement released via the commission’s official X page on Saturday, Abioye commended voters for turning out to exercise their rights despite the challenges.

He also apologised to the media for the commission’s inability to provide accreditation materials, attributing the issue to the police sealing off the OSSIEC headquarters, where the materials were stored.

Abioye further explained that, delays in some polling units were caused by the police arresting officials responsible for delivering election materials. However, he assured that new materials had been dispatched, allowing voting to continue.

“Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have arrested staff of the commission who are on election duty across the state,” Abioye stated.

IBB is a coward and disloyal to his country as the president of Nigeria.
He is also disloyal to the oath he took as a soldier to defend his country even if it means dying.

Others, both soldiers and civilians laid down their lives for him to become the President and remained president for the number of years he was there, but he was afraid of death. He was afraid to die for his country. What a shame

What a disloyalty to his country and profession.

I think it was during his era that we started having psychedelic soldiers who prefer to reside in V.I, Ikoyi, Lekki, FESTAC, Banana Island and other areas like these in Jos, Kaduna, Kano, Ibadan, Enugu, Benin, Zaria, Port Harcourt, Sokoto, Mina etc etc.

He shouldn’t have been celebrated the way he was when he launched his autobiography
