The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has released the list of shortlisted candidates for the paramilitary agencies’ computer-based recruitment test.
The announcement was made in Abuja by the board’s secretary, Retired Maj.-Gen. Abdulmalik Jubril, confirming that applicants for any of the listed agencies can now verify their status.
The paramilitary agencies under the CDCFIB include the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), and the Federal Fire Service (FFS).
The board stated that from Thursday, October 30, 2025, all applicants should check the official CDCFIB recruitment portal to confirm their shortlist status and access details of their CBT centre, date, and time.
To check if you have been shortlisted, follow these steps carefully:
- Visit the official portal: https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng
- Enter your National Identification Number (NIN) and the phone number used during registration.
- Type in the security verification code displayed on the screen.
- Click on the “Retrieve Examination Slip” button.
- Your slip will show your application status, venue, date, and time for the Computer-Based Test (CBT).
Important Information for Shortlisted Candidates
Print and keep your examination slip — it will be required at your CBT venue. Arrive early with your slip, a valid means of identification, and writing materials.

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) recently announced a nationwide recruitment exercise across four federal paramilitary agencies under its supervision: the NSCDC, NCoS, FFS, and NIS.
According to figures on the board’s official website, 1,911,141 Nigerians submitted applications before the deadline. Kogi (116,162), Kaduna (114,536), and Benue (110,565) recorded the highest applications, while Bayelsa (11,669) and Lagos (14,216) had the lowest.
