The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced a significant change to its recruitment process, confirming that all shortlisted applicants will now take their tests online.

In a statement signed by the Board’s Secretary, retired Major General A. M. Jibril, it was disclosed that the recruitment portal will officially close on Friday, November 7, 2025, after which the online test will hold for one week.

“All shortlisted applicants will take part in an online test, which will commence from Wednesday, November 12, 2025, and conclude on Wednesday, November 19, 2025,” the statement read.

The Board further clarified that no physical CBT centres will be used, advising candidates to visit the recruitment portal — recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng — to confirm their status and test schedule.

“Applicants are to note that the test will be conducted exclusively online. Accordingly, all previously allocated CBT centres are discontinued,” it added.

According to the statement, the test link will be released a day before the examination, and candidates were urged to ensure stable internet connectivity and access to suitable devices for the test.

Jibril reassured applicants and the general public of the Board’s commitment to a transparent and credible process, stating that fairness and integrity remain central to the recruitment exercise.

The ongoing recruitment aims to fill positions across the four key paramilitary agencies under the CDCFIB, as part of the government’s broader effort to strengthen national security and public safety.

The CDCFIB revealed that a total of 1,911,141 Nigerians applied before the recruitment portal closed on Monday, August 11.
