Osun State Police Command on Thursday gave update on the student of Osun State University, Victor Oke, who was burnt alive by some suspected cultists over his refusal to join the secret cult has gave up the ghost while receiving treatment in the hospital.

This was disclosed by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, during an interview with The PUNCH Metro on the sidelines of the handing over of a patrol vehicle that was refurbished by a group in the state, Police and Personalities Forum to Osogbo Area Command of Nigeria Police Force, in Osogbo.
Opalola, who said the victim later gave up the ghost while receiving treatment, added that operatives had launched manhunt for the perpetrators.
“We are on their (perpetrators) trail. We are sure we are going to arrest them because we can’t allow such incident to continue. Before the last incident, we had enjoyed peace. Unfortunately, the victim died,” she said.
Speaking on the donation, the Osun State Coordinator of PAPEF, Dr. Rosin Odeyemi, said the group had earlier bought a patrol vehicle for a police division in Osogbo.
He assured that the group would continue to support the police by providing them with logistics that would enhance their productivity
