UNILORIN MATRICULATION: What VICE CHANCELLOR has to say, FRESHERS’ moments (PHOTOS)

The management of University of Ilorin held a matriculation ceremony for the fresh students on Wednesday Sept. 29, 2021 at the Varsity Auditorium.

At the event, the Vice-Chancellor of UNILORIN, Professor Abdulhakeem Suleiman Age, congratulated the new students and their parents for witnessing such a great occasion.
According to what is made available to iDeemlawful, “He challenged the students to “ever go up and never come down” and advised them to be diligent and industrious in their academic pursuit.” 
“I hope to see you all in the next four/five years for your convocation ceremony. Avoid all negative behaviours and be focused, joining cultism, not involving in pornography or indecent dressing either within or outside the University ” the professor told the students.

Addressing our correspondence,  the new students at the institution, some of the new students expressed their joy.
 
Abdullahi Abdulhakeem of the Material and Metallurgical said, “It’s actually a thing of joy. I have been looking forward to today. It was a success and I give glory to Almighty Allah.”
Misturoh Ajide, who studies Health promotion and environment health education, said: “I am very happy to be matriculated into the school and am very sure one day, which is in the next four years, I will witness the convocation as well.”

Also we have Sheriff Ibraheem from the department of Geophysics, faculty of Physical Sciences , who said ” I give thanks to Almighty Allah for granting me the permission to witness today’s event, I also give thanks to my parents has been supporting me spiritually and physically to make the event a realistic today”.

Base on Statistics, Average students gained admissions into the University with their first attempt.

Finally, the University made an oath with the students through the registrar mouth of the school in person of Dr. Folaranmi Modupe Olowoleni. Some of the Oath are ” I am not a secret cult member, I will not participate in any activity of, or belong to any students organization, wether on campus or not, unless I have the evidence that the organization(s) is duly registered with the University as at the time of activity or membership and so on”
