Mixed reactions have trailed the disqualification of Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola popularly called Portable from the Headies Award 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Emerging reports has it that the organisers of the awards in a statement on Tuesday night, 26th July, disclosed that the singer was disqualified, over his involvement with the Nigerian Police in recent times<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Headies organiser cited issues of alleged death and harm threats to other nominees in the same categories if he fails to emerge the winner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The organisers also expressed displeasure over a video published by the \u2018Za Zu Zeh\u2019 crooner, claiming affiliation with the dreaded robbery gang known as \u20181 Million boys\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reacting, many Nigerians on Twitter claimed the decision was the right step adding that he really does not deserve the awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
