{"id":3962,"date":"2022-01-25T17:22:17","date_gmt":"2022-01-25T17:22:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ideemlawful.com\/?p=3962"},"modified":"2025-11-21T18:50:31","modified_gmt":"2025-11-21T18:50:31","slug":"kano-revokes-licences-of-all-private-schools","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ideemlawful.com\/wp\/kano-revokes-licences-of-all-private-schools\/","title":{"rendered":"Kano Revokes Licences Of All Private Schools"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The government of Kano has revoked operating licences of all private schools in the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The government took the action amid the outrage over the killing of 5-year old Hanifa Abubukar by Abdulmalik Tanko, proprietor of Noble Kids Academy, Nasarawa Local Government Area of the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Read also: <a href=\"https:\/\/ideemlawful.com\/wp\/2022\/01\/angry-youths-in-kano-raze-down-noble-kids-school-over-death-of-5-year-old-pupil-video.html\">Angry Youths in Kano Raze Down Noble Kids School Over Death of 5-year-old Pupil (Video)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ideemlawful.com\/wp\/2022\/01\/how-kano-school-proprietor-abducted-killed-buried-five-year-old-pupil.html\">How Kano School Proprietor Abducted, Killed, Buried Five-Year-Old Pupil<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The deceased child, who attended the school, was kidnapped and subsequently killed by her school proprietor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tanko had confessed killing her with a rat poison he bought for N100.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking to journalist on Monday, the state Commissioner of Education, Sunusi Sa\u2019id Kiru, said the revoked licences will be reviewed and revalidated after certification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI want to use this opportunity to inform everyone that hence, the government has decided to revoke all certificates of private schools in the State.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are all aware of the ongoing case of Hanifa; how she was gruesomely murdered by a suspect called Abdulmalik Tanko who is the the proprietor of Noble Kids Academy; view of the sad incident, especially regarding how she was murdered in the private school, the State government has decided to withdraw the certificate of all private schools for revalidation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe ministry of education will set a criteria for their recertification.
