In a bid to cushion the impact of its recent tariff adjustments, MultiChoice Nigeria has announced a support package for its DStv and GOtv subscribers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Monday, in an email to customers, the pay-TV firm said from March 1, customers on the DStv premium bouquet will pay N44,500, compared to the current rate of N37,000, and those on Compact+ would pay N30,000 \u2013 up from N25,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Customers on Compact bouquet will pay N19,000 \u2014 up from N17,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Similarly, GOtv Supa customers will henceforth pay N16,800 \u2014 up from N15,700.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, in an email on Tuesday, the company urged subscribers to renew their subscriptions before the expiration date to exempt them from the new rates for a specified period, as a reward for their loyalty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
MultiChoice said subscribers on both DStv and GOtv can also take advantage of the Step Up offer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Which enables them to enjoy premium content beyond their current package through an automatic upgrade to a higher package upon payment for a package above their current subscription.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the firm, the Step-Up offer, which began in January, will continue until March 31.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As part of the palliative package, MultiChoice said it would also announce a reduction in the subscription for Showmax, its streaming service, on February 28.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
