Nigerians expressed mixed reactions to the recent news of American singer T-Pain being honored by his hometown, Tallahassee, for his contributions to the music industry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In an event on Sunday, November 10, T-Pain was presented with keys to Tallahassee by Mayor John Dailey. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the ceremony, Pasco Street, a portion of the road where T-Pain walked as a child from Nims Middle School to the Walker Ford Community Center, was officially renamed T-Pain Lane. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cToday, I had the incredible honor of presenting @TPain with the Key to the City in recognition of his contributions to music and his ongoing commitment to this community,\u201d Dailey wrote via X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The singer’s name has repeatedly trended on Nigerian social media space after President Bola Tinubu was recently nicknamed T-Pain, reflecting the economic hardship in the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A former presidential spokesman, Doyin Okupe also made a reaction to the nickname Nigerians gave Tinubu. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, in a thread of Nigerians reaction to T-Pain’s achievement, some of the comments captured below;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
