{"id":17289,"date":"2024-08-23T15:32:44","date_gmt":"2024-08-23T14:32:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ideemlawful.com\/?p=17289"},"modified":"2024-08-23T15:32:48","modified_gmt":"2024-08-23T14:32:48","slug":"tinubu-swears-in-23rd-chief-justice-of-nigeria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ideemlawful.com\/wp\/tinubu-swears-in-23rd-chief-justice-of-nigeria\/","title":{"rendered":"Tinubu swears in 23rd Chief Justice of Nigeria"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sworn in Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun as the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kekere-Ekun was sworn in at the Council Chamber of the State House, Abuja on August 22, 2024, following the retirement of her predecessor, Olukayode Ariwoola.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kekere-Ekun would be the 23rd Chief Justice of Nigeria if the Senate confirms her appointment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kekere-Ekun succeeds retired Justice Ariwoola, who assumed office on June 27, 2022, and retired from office after attaining the mandatory age of 70 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Thursday, Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, disclosed that Tinubu would swear in Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun as the new Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>President Tinubu had thanked Justice Ariwoola for a successful public service<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sworn in Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun as the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN).
