Members and leaders of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC) and other affiliate labour unions in Lagos state are currently picketing the head office of Ikeja Electric today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is also report of Organized labour in Ebonyi State on Monday picketed the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) and National Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) offices in Abakaliki, capital of the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It also came about with the report that members of the organised labour in Osun State, on Monday, blocked the main entrance of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) Business Hub, Osogbo, protesting the recent hike in electricity tariff.

The action led to the shutdown of the company\u2019s premises to any activities.

The reason for the industrial action according to members and leaders of the various labour unions present is the recent hike in electricity tariff by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) which is being implemented by electricity distribution companies across the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
