According to the registrar, “The University paid ₦34,500,000.00 for the month of February, 2023. It paid the sum of ₦47,000,000 for the months of January and March 2023. For the month of April 2023 which is the bone of the contention, YEDC brought a bill of ₦48,702,256.88.” The don emphasised.

Ahmad further noted that the management in trying hard to ensure stable power on campus went forth to source for fund to raise advance payment of the bill of April 2023, but this made no satisfaction to YEDC insisting full payment at once.
