An evening press briefing to announce the new vice chancellor of the University of Ilorin was put off on Thursday over the failure of the University Governing Council to reach an agreement, our source has learnt.
The reason for the postponement was not made known to press men after they converged at the varsity’s Senate Building.
Even the possible choice of the successor to Prof Abdulkareem Age is still very much under speculation.
Age will proceed on terminal leave in October to bring his eventful tenure as Vice-chancellor of the university to an end
