At least two students identified to be from Federal University of Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) and one other crush to death by trailer in Ekiti state.

The horrible event took place on Friday, September 15, 2023 just at the entrance of Ilupeju-Ekiti close to a neighboring community of the institution.

According to eyewitnesses, the trailer had rammed into the bike which the students had boarded.

The bike man said to be an indigene of Oye-Ekiti was the third person who died along with the students.

The police in the state are yet to react as of the time of writing this report.

This comes barely a week after a 200-level student of the school, Atanda Modupe Deborah, was found dead two days after she went missing.

Deborah, who was a student of the Nursing Department, stream A, Faculty of Basic Medical Science, went missing after she went to study in the class on Monday night, September 4, 2023.

Her roommates declared her missing when she did not return from the night reading.

Her body was found buried in a shallow grave behind her faculty with her eyes plucked out on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.

Reacting to this incident in a statement on Wednesday evening, the Registrar of the University, Mufutau Ibrahim, ordered all students to vacate the campuses
