This is to inform the general public that sequel to successful Resource Assessment by the National Universities Commission (NUC), the Sokoto State University commences Postgraduate programmes. Applications are, therefore, invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into Postgraduate programmes for the 2021/2022 academic session beginning 15th February, 2022, leading to the award of Postgraduate Diplomas, Master and Doctorate degrees.
Admission Requirements for the 2021/2022.
Postgraduate ProgrammesAll candidates for admission into Postgraduate programmes must provide records of Academic Transcripts and must have met matriculation requirements.
(1) Candidates for admission into Ph.D. programmes shall have a Master’s degree in relevant areas with CGPA of not less than 3.0 on a scale of 5.0.
(2) Candidates for admission into Master’s degree programmes shall have a minimum of Second Class Lower degree in the relevant areas. Postgraduate Diploma or Third Class degree (with at least five (5) years cognate work experience) from any recognized University may be considered.
(3) Candidates for admission into Postgraduate Diploma programmes should possess the following:
(I)Higher National Diploma (HND) with a minimum of Lower Credit in relevant area.
(ii)Third Class degree in relevant area.
(III)Qualifications other than i and ii above which are acceptable to the University.Available Programmes for 2021/2022 Academic Session.
