“Every nation has the right to be proud of its great achievement. The contribution made by Muslim women to culture and every field of civilization is outstanding and unique.”
If only you know… That there are more opportunities than limitations for women in Islam.
Can we talk about those things women are allowed to do in Islam rather than the regular talk about limitations here and there that are attributed to the religion which most of them are mere extremism on the part of humans and are aimed to sabotage Muslim women.
By opportunities, I mean those things we can do as females whether in our homes or outside our homes to contribute to the development of our society. Rather than the misconception of Muslim women being enslaved by their religion, Islam raises women to a prestigious status, protects, dignifies and empowers us.
There are numerous things we can do as women as long as it is in conjunction with the terms and conditions which are stipulated in the religion just to dignify and protect us, the precious and covered pearls. In shaping the history of mankind, the role played by Muslim women are really remarkable.
Every nation has the right to be proud of its great achievement. The contribution made by Muslim women to culture and every field of civilization is outstanding and unique.
The wive of the prophet (SAW) Khadijah (RA), is an example of a business woman, good and successful at what she did. Nevertheless, she performed her duty as a wife and a mother dutifully. She relates with everyone with dignity and respect while adhering to Islamic principles.Aisha (RA), also a wive of the prophet (SAW), was a woman with vast knowledge that many male companions even acquired knowledge from her.
She attained distinction in the field of Islamic knowledge. She stayed dignified and maintained a respectful relationship with everyone. Searching for knowledge is incumbent on all and women attended teaching sessions of the prophet (SAW).
In the same breath, apart from the wives of the Prophet, there were Muslim women with notable specialities whose names have been written in the sands of time that will forever be read in the history by everyone.
Nusaybah (RA) is one those Muslim women whom history cannot forget. She was a female warrior who participated in battles and fought fiercely on the battle ground.
In the science of medicine and surgery, women like Rufaydah(RA) and others attained distinction and were known for their proficiency.
In the aspect of poetry and politics, notable women like Khansa’a (RA), Atiqoh (RA), Hind(RA), Umm Aiman(RA) and others who were shrewd poets contributed a lot.
Women in Islam are mothers, sisters, daughters, wives, scholars, business women, teachers, warriors and any other profession that suits her delicate nature.
She is a true Muslimah, who is knowledgeable, faithful, righteous, covered, respectful and dignified. She balances her duty to her Lord, herself, her family and to the society at large. She does not excel in one aspect and neglect the other. She avoids being extreme and fears falling into laxity.
It is enough that the holy Qur’an contains a chapter on women. It shows how dignified we are. The Qur’an and Prophetic Sunnah have spoken about women’s right and recognize our existence more than any other religion.Islam truly honours and treat women with justice, if only we know.
Nice work.
My advice for women reading this:
Women should continue to make impacts in their areas; permissive ways and things.
Women build nations; not just cooking in kitchen. There have lived great women that made gigantic impacts. There are women that are making impacts at the moment. Let’s make impacts in our ways, let’s touch lives and make changes.
May Almighty Allah continue to be with our women and empower them with the knowledge, wisdom, energy and other resources needed to make impacts. May Allah continue to help those who making impacts already.
Remember, Islam honours women. If only you know
