Nigerian Striker Boniface makes Bundesliga team of the season

Victor Boniface, the Nigerian striker, has been selected for the Bundesliga team after his exceptional performances with Bayer Leverkusen.

The Nigerian international adapted swiftly to the German league following his transfer from the Belgian club Union Saint-Gilloise for an estimated €20 million during the previous summer transfer window.

At 23 years old, Boniface played a crucial role in Bayer Leverkusen’s historic first Bundesliga title win. Despite being sidelined for 11 games due to injury, the Super Eagles forward managed to net 11 goals, becoming one of the top scorers for Xabi Alonso’s team.

Overall, Boniface tallied an impressive 18 goals and 10 assists in 30 appearances across all competitions this season.

The Season’s Team featured six players from Bayer Leverkusen, including Jeremie Frimpong, Jonathan Tah, Alejandro Grimaldo, Granit Xhaka, Florian Wirtz, and Boniface himself.

Tottenham Hotspur and England legend Harry Kane, and onetime Nigeria Football Federation target Jamal Musiala are the Bayern Munich representatives

Waldemar Anton (VfB Stuttgart), Serhou Guirassy (VfB Stuttgart) and Gregor Kobel (Borussia Dortmund) are the other players named in the Best XI.

In a 4-3-3 formation, Kane leads the attack and he is flanked by African duo Boniface and Guirassy.

Bayer Leverkusen won fifteen of the twenty games Boniface participated in this season.
