- NAKLAS COMMENDS GOVERNOR ABDULRAHMAN ABDULRAZAQ FOR APPROVING ₦200,000 SCHOLARSHIP FOR 241 KWARA LAW SCHOOL STUDENTS (REGULAR & BACKLOG 2023/2024 SETS)
The National Association of Kwara State Law Students (NAKLAS) has said it’s “wholeheartedly commends the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for his unwavering commitment to the welfare of Kwara indigenes pursuing legal education.”
In a jointly signed statement made available to iDeemlawful, the leadership of NAKLASS said “This year, His Excellency has graciously approved the disbursement of ₦200,000 (Two Hundred Thousand Naira) to 241 Kwara indigenes at the Nigerian Law School”
“Particularly those who successfully registered with KWASRRA during the scholarship exercise, covering both the Regular and Backlog 2023/2024 sets.” It added.
This represents a remarkable improvement from the ₦100,000 (One Hundred Thousand Naira) that was previously disbursed since 2019.
“This noble gesture not only alleviates the financial burden on our members but also reaffirms the Governor’s dedication to education, empowerment, and youth development in Kwara State.
“We, the entire body of Kwara State Law Students, express our deepest gratitude to His Excellency for this significant and historic intervention.
All applicants are further reminded that:
- Only candidates who have successfully completed registration with KWASRRA are qualified to access the scholarship portal for final registration when it opens on Thursday, 4th of September, 2025.
- Be informed that you are required to provide conventional bank account details (not Opay or similar platforms) when registering on the scholarship portal.
- Payment of NAKLAS dues remains a compulsory condition. Confirmation of this payment by NAKLAS shall serve as the verification stage before beneficiaries can get the scholarship.
