The National Association of Kwara State Law Students (NAKLAS) National Headquarters (NHQ) has embraced the Ramadan values of compassion in its latest initiative.

AbdulRauf AbdulBasit Obisesan, the National President of the association organized a two-day Ramadan Outreach and Iftar program to support over 50 indigent Kwara State law students studying at the Faculty of Law, University of Ilorin, and the College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies (CAILS), Ilorin.

For many of these students, fasting during Ramadan comes with its own set of challenges, particularly when resources are limited. Understanding this, NAKLAS NHQ stepped in—not just as an association, but as a family looking out for its own. According to them, The outreach aimed to ensure that students observing the fast had access to nutritious meals and essential provisions, allowing them to focus on both their spiritual and academic pursuits without worry.

As students gathered to receive their Ramadan packages, there was an overwhelming sense of gratitude and unity. Many expressed deep appreciation for the initiative, recognizing how impactful the association’s commitment to student welfare has been.

One member of NAKLAS stated:

“If there are any set of people who are proud of AbdulBasit, I will be the chairlady of that association. AbdulBasit is cracking the glass ceiling under the umbrella of NAKLAS. He keeps introducing wonderful concepts that have never been explored in the association. I can’t wait to see him break the glass ceiling. May Allah continue to guide you and your wonderful team.”

For NAKLAS NHQ, this outreach is just the beginning. With a vision that extends beyond academics, the association is determined to foster a supportive and caring environment where every Kwara law student feels seen, valued, and supported.

Moving forward, the leadership has set its sights on expanding welfare programs to reach more students, including those studying outside Kwara State.

At its core, this initiative was more than just distributing food—it was about strengthening the bond of brotherhood, standing in solidarity, and ensuring that no student walks alone during Ramadan.

NAKLAS NHQ continues to redefine what it means to be a student association—not just an organization, but a family that looks out for one another.
