The prosecutor alleged that the defendant, who promised to refund the money in installments, however, reneged on his promise.

Leo told the court that during a police investigation, the defendant allegedly confessed to have sold the material to another customer.

According to the prosecutor, the offence contravenes the provision of sections 339 and 321 of the Penal Code of Kaduna State, 2017.

Magistrate Ibrahim Emmanuel granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100,000 with two responsible sureties, who must show evidence of tax payment. He adjourned the case until May 24 for hearing. (NAN)
