Court Remands Two Over Defecation Inside Mosque

Mr Usman was caught defecating in a mosque placed on Alkalawa road, Tudun Wada Kaduna around 2:00 p.m.

A Shari’a Court sitting at Magajin Gari, Kaduna State on Thursday ordered that Nura Usman and Adamu Dauda be remanded in a correctional facility for allegedly defecating in a mosque.

The police charged Usman and Dauda with public nuisance and inciting violence.

The Judge, Rilwanu Kyaudai, adjourned the case till April 28 for the police to present  witnesses

Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, Inspector Ibrahim Shuaibu, mentioned that Messrs Usman and Dauda have been handed over to the Tudun Wada Police station on 11th of April by members of the community.

He mentioned that Mr Usman was caught defecating in a mosque placed on Alkalawa road, Tudun Wada Kaduna around 2:00 p.m.

He stated that Mr Dauda, the 2nd defendant had promised to reward Mr Usman N20,000 if he defecates in the mosque.

Meanwhile, They both pleaded no longer guilty.
