Area Boys Mercilessly Beat Cross Dresser In Lagos

A Nigerian crossdresser got a the beating of his life after he was seriously attacked by some area boys who tore off his clothes, leaving him with injuries and no foot wear at a motor park in Lagos state.

According reports, the crossdresser, who is yet to be identified was seen grasping for air after he was mercilessly rough handled by the area boys who felt irritated by his feminine appearance.

This is coming barely days after a group of LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) advocates stormed the streets of Abuja to demand that the ‘Cross Dressers Bill’ which was recently proposed at the National Assembly, Abuja, in April 2022, be revoked.

Reports revealed that a bill prohibiting cross-dressing and proposing a six-month jail term for offenders has been recently read on the floor of the House of Representatives.

The bill states that, “a person engaging in crossdressing is guilty of an offence and liable to imprisonment of 6 months or to a fine of five hundred thousand naira.”
