The Special Assistant on Public Communication to Atiku Abubakar, the 2023 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Phrank Shaibu, has levelled allegations against President Bola Tinubu.

iDeemlawful gathered that Shaibu claims that Tinubu is planning to grant a ministerial appointment to Nyesom Wike, the former Governor of Rivers State.

President Tinubu is expected to present the list of ministers to the Senate today, seeking their approval. However, Shaibu has expressed his concerns, suggesting that this appointment is a gesture of appreciation from Tinubu to Wike for allegedly manipulating the presidential election in Rivers State in favour of Tinubu.

Shaibu said that the election results in states like Rivers State were not credible, emphasising that the process was tainted.

He further highlights the ongoing petition against Wike, which has garnered nearly 300,000 votes, as evidence of the dissatisfaction surrounding his alleged misconduct during the election.

The Presidential election in Rivers State was clearly rigged, as evidenced by the data uploaded on IREV by INEC,” stated Shaibu in a signed statement. “To date, almost 300,000 Nigerians have signed a petition on change.org, calling for visa bans against Governor Wike.”

“Tinubu is now on the verge of appointing Wike as a minister as a reward for that disgraceful election.“What a shame. And this is the character who claimed to have fought for the actualisation of June 12?”
