Roberto Carlos, the former Real Madrid and Brazil star, has denied rumors that he is currently residing at Real Madrid’s Valdebebas training facility after his split from his wife Mariana Lucon.

The couple, who wed in 2009, have two daughters and are reportedly undergoing a complex divorce process.

The divorce is said to involves Carlos’ substantial wealth, estimated at £133 million.

Spanish outlet Estadio Deportivo claimed Lucon remains in their primary residence while Carlos’ in-laws occupy his second property, leaving him temporarily based at the training facility.

However, Carlos took to social media to refute these allegations, labeling them “false and damaging.”

In a statement on X, Carlos wrote: “In recent days, I’ve seen baseless rumors about my living situation. I remain at a private residence with my family’s support.

My legal team is addressing these claims, and I request privacy during this time.”

Carlos, who spent 11 years at Real Madrid, winning four La Liga titles and three Champions League trophies, remains a club ambassador.

Widely celebrated as one of the greatest full-backs in football history, he played alongside legends like David Beckham and Ronaldo during his time with the Spanish giants.

The 51-year-old’s personal life has often been a topic of discussion.

In a previous interview, he revealed having 11 children with seven women, a revelation that sparked viral discussions online.

Carlos and Real Madrid declined to comment further on the matter
