Nigeria@62: FG Declares Date For Public Holiday

The Nigerian Federal government has declared Monday, May 1, 2023, as a public holiday to mark Workers’ Day celebration.

The Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola had made it known in a statement issued on Friday, April 28, 2023.

Aregbesola, in a statement which was signed by the Permanent Secretary to the office of Ministry of Interior, Shuaib Belgore, on Friday, commended Nigerian workers for their hard work, diligence and sacrifice.

He mentioned that the effort of Workers are largely responsible for the greatness of the country and the respect Nigeria now commands in the comity of nations.
