It was an happy moment after hot arguments by counsels representing the two schools trying to convince the three panel of judges to judge in the favour of a particular team in which eventually, Namlas (National Association of Muslim Law Students) University of Ilorin emerged as the winner of the bilateral moot competition against Namlas University of Ibadan held on the 3rd of December, 2021.
An interview with one of the Namlas unilorin team – Muhammad-Rabiu Abdullah Itopa reveals that the main issue in contention is bank-customer relationship and the representatives of both schools did argued beautifully but there must always be a winner in every competition.
University of Ilorin is indeed “better by far” as the school team did not only won the competition but also received the award of “best counsel” given to one of the team members in person of Tunji-Lawal Lawal Abolaji who also doubles as the Chief Judge of the Law Students Society Court, University of Ilorin.
