Fashola Plays Down Allegations Levelled Against Tinubu

The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola has insisted that the allegations in opposition to the president-elect, Bola Tinubu, are “unproven”.

Fashola mentioned this while speaking during an interview with Channels Television on Sunday.

According to him, the outcome of the 2023 presidential election proved Nigerians weren’t stricken about the controversies trailing Tinubu.

In the build-up to the February 25 election, there have been questions about Tinubu’s instructional background, age, family and source of wealth.

But Fashola said: “Governance is now not about sainthood. It is about efficiency, performance, and delivery.

“You have to recognize that we need to no longer be searching for saints.

“All of the allegations that have been levelled in opposition to him have been either unproven or no evidence provided in help of them however they have run alongside for a while.”
