FATE
by SIDIKING
I sat down in an open space,
Striking my thoughts far & wide,
Beyond the walls of the world,
Indeed the world is a beautiful scenery,
But filled with life gabble,
Why does a Diurnal animal hunt during the day,
While a Nocturnal animal prefers night?
I braced up to surf the internet,
Like my life depends on it,
George Floyd death news kept interrupting,
With emphasis on how he met his doom,
Enough empathy & sympathy I shared,
And when I turned off my data,
My gloomy fate as a black continues.
I grew up in the slum,
With a bitter – sweet experience to recall,
As a tout & lout that I was,
Every moment was turbulent,
Like a war inflicted city,
With no hope of conquest,
Why do I have to live the life I live?
