Epe: APC Supporters hold solidarity march for Tinubu, Sanwo-Olu

Ahead of the Lagos All Progressives Congress (APC) mega rally for its presidential candidate for the 2023 election, Ashiwaju Bola Tinubu on Saturday, the supporters of the party, yesterday, in Epe Local Government Areas (LGA) of the state held a solidarity march for him and the party’s governorship candidate, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The Chairman of Epe LGA, Princess Surah Animashaun, said the rally was organised to galvanise support for Bola Tinubu, the party’s presidential candidate; Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Hon. Tobun Abiodun; Hon. Sylvester O. Ogunkelu and Hon. Olawale Raji.Animashaun stated that the rally was an initiative from the people of Epe, Eredo, and Ejinrin because of what the party’s presidential and governorship candidates have done in Lagos in terms of project infrastructure, especially in the Epe community.

She added that from the massive participation of the people in the rally, the people of Epe are ready and willing to vote for all APC’s candidates, especially Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu. In his address, Abiodun Tobun, a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing the Epe Constituency 1, said APC presidential candidate is the preferable candidate, adding that Tinubu is a visionary man. Tobun stated that in order to have all-inclusive and progressive governance from the federal to the local government, the people need to vote for APC.

He noted that the party’s achievements are monumental, noting that over the years, the party has demonstrated a progressive government in Lagos and Nigeria. He said, “We are going in line with the agenda of the progressive team as laid down by our national leader, President Muhammadu Buhari, and Bola Ahmed Tinubu. It cuts across all infrastructure and social amenities, good road network, good health facilities, education, human capital development, youth empowerment and women development.”

A member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Epe Constituency II, Oluwadahunsi Ogunkelu, called upon all members and non-members of APC to come out in mass to support and vote for the state governor in his reelection and the party presidential candidate.

Meanwhile, Director, Media & Publicity, APC Presidential Campaign Council, Bayo Onanuga, said Tinubu will not attend Arise News Presidential Townhall Meeting slated for December 4, saying there was no prior consultation with Tinubu and his aides and no consent of the candidate was obtained for the advertisement.

He said, “We are surprised that the TV station listed our candidate, Tinubu, as a participant, when there was no prior consultation with him and his aides.

We deem this as professionally wrong and reckless. No media organisation should arrogate to itself the right to railroad any candidate to fit into its own agenda.

“As we said in an earlier statement, the busy and hectic campaign schedules of Asiwaju Tinubu will not permit him to honour all invitations from different radio and TV stations for debate and or Town Hall meetings hence our decision for him not to start with one media organisation and later ignore the others.

“In the absence of a unified and mutually acceptable all parties and all candidates platform, our candidate has been speaking directly to Nigerians, since President Muhammadu Buhari launched Tinubu’s Action Plan for a Better Nigeria.
