Drama as Vehicle Conveying Prisoners Injure Commuters In Osun

There was palpable drama in Osogbo which is the capital of Osun State after a truck conveying inmates to the State High Court, hit a commercial minibus, injuring at least two persons.

The unwanted incident occured early on Thursday, March 30, 2023 and immediately caused a violent protest. Commercial motorcyclists and some angry youths were seen blocking the popular Olaiya Junction in the scene of the protest.

Eyewitnesses narrated the correctional truck driver had refused to stick to the traffic light that signaled red for him to stop and in the process, hit a minibus, causing the driver and one of the passengers injured.

As of the time this report was published, police was said to have arrived the scene to dispersed the protesters using teargas.
