DISPLACED
by Ambitious Gas

On the century I was birthed
That place used to be my home
Silently, I revolved around myself
Enjoying the atmosphere
Until I had to be moved,
Because the evolution was complete
From the womb down to earth.

It was a joy worth celebration
My first cry let out to the world
Upon replacement I adapted
Because my home was replaced,
Survival I upheld for the fittest.

Evitability couldn’t be challenged,
Never the same I remained,
From a phase to another I advanced
Swaying along the main drag,
Maybe not on a common ground.

An inmate of my own prison I became
When my gory glory seemed to black out,
I’m housed in a mansion
But my comfort is far from there,
How does one look adorable, yet, abominable.

Cheerful I was, now a boor
what is the antidote?
Cajole me not for I am tired
Of being an iron hand in a velvet glove – holding
A story writing itself to Glory.
