UNILORIN pre-degree student found dead in hotel swimming pool in Ilorin

A pre-degree student of the University of Ilorin has been found dead in the swimming pool of a hotel in the ilorin, Kwara state.

The ugly incident according to findings by DAILY POST, was discovered last Friday.

The actual circumstances surrounding the tragic incident nor the identity of the student has been ascertained to this very moment.

However, in a phone chat with DAILY POST on the matter on Wednesday, the spokesperson of the state police command, Mr Okasanmi Ajayi, in Ilorin, said, ” investigation has been launched into the incident.”

He said so far, ” it is suspected that the boy must have drowned in the swimming pool at the Bekadims Hotel, located at Tanke Oke-Odo area, along the University of Ilorin main campus road.

When contacted on Wednesday, the Director, Corporate Affairs Unit of the University of Ilorin, Kunle Akogun, has said ” I have no information about the incident.”
