Oluwatobi Ogunmola, a 400 level student of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, has been found dead days after he was reported missing.
A source in the school who spoke to Punch said Ogunmola’s body was found hanging from a bush near Gambari in Ogbomoso, Surulere Municipal Government District of the state. A physics student at the institution, Ogunmola is also a mobile phone technician and solar system consultant.
One of his Facebook friends, Adeleke Abel, described the deceased as a very calm and reserved person. He said the death of Ogunmola has hit everyone hard, especially the Gambari people of Ogbomoso.
In his message, Abel expressed his condolences to the family of Ogunmola Taiwo following the death of their son.
he wrote: The death came as a shock to everyone, especially the Gambari people of Ogbomoso.
In a related development, Maryam Lawan, a student of Yobe State University in Damaturu, Goroma, collapsed and died shortly after sitting an examination on Thursday.
Buhar Maisandari, a classmate of the deceased, announced this on his Facebook page. He added that the deceased collapsed suddenly and was soon pronounced dead.
Mariam, a chemical engineering student, remained healthy until Thursday before she collapsed and eventually died. He said “Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihir Rajiun.
I was saddened to hear of the sudden death of his classmate Maryam Lawan Goroma. “She was healthy and strong until She suddenly collapsed this afternoon and died shortly thereafter.”
