Tribunal Dismisses Peter Obi’s petition on alleged Tinubu’s Drugs Case says ‘Your claim is baseless’

The Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) has thrown out Peter Obi and the Labour Party’s petition on the alleged drug indictment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the United States.

The court on Wednesday, September 6, 2203, ruled that the petition was baseless because Tinubu wasn’t banned from entering the United States.

Justice Haruna Tsammani ruled that Obi and the Labour Party failed to prove that Tinubu was convicted of money laundering in the US, adding no record of criminal arrest or conviction was established against the APC candidate by the petitioners.

The judge added that Tinubu was not arraigned, did not take plea and there was no sentence of imprisonment imposed on him.

Similarly, the earlier declared that the petition of Peter Obi claiming President Tinubu did not secure 25 percent votes in the FCT is irrelevant
