An Islamic and Nongovernmental organization, Standard Bearers Islamic Organization Kwara State Chapter has honoured the winners of her Ramadan essay writing competition.
The literary contest which was held in form of essay writing was contested by students in Secondary schools across Ilorin Metropolis.
The program held on Sunday, 9th April, 2023/ 18th Ramadan, 1444AH, had the winners of the essay competition going home with cash prizes and foodstuff.
In his remarks, the deputy state coordinator (Dawah Affairs), Shaykh Harun Ahmad noted that the decision of the body to organize the literary contest was born out of efforts in reviving the reading and writing culture amongst students and that is why the topic Islamic Civilization or Western Civilization has been chosen.
He encouraged all participants to be steadfast on their religion and see themselves as winners irrespective of the results.
In the senior category, AJEIGBE Najibat, HAMMED Habibah of Muhyideen Arabic School took the first and second position respectively and went home with a cash prize of 15,000 and 10,000 while IBRAHIM Ibrahim of Taoheed Secondary school took the third position with a cash prize of 5,000.
In the Junior category Idris Ayatullahi Amirah and Junaid Abolore Rofiat from Fate Basin Secondary School took the first and second position and got a cash prize of #15,000 and #10,000 respectively while Adisa Summayyah of Ilorin Comprehensive High School took the third position with a cash prize of #5,000.
Parents and Teachers were full of accolade for the organization and urged them to continue the good work being done.
