Nigerian Military has intercepted N60,000,000 meant to be paid as ransom for the freedom of some captives in the custody of bandit terrorists in Kaduna State.
According to PRNigeria, some of the couriers of the ransom price are suspected to be safety agents.
The troops in the intelligence-driven army operations also rescued kidnapped victims which includes some women and children.
The operations, simultaneously undertaken by way of grounded troops of the Nigerian Army, as well as different forces of the Nigerian Air forces, NAF, resulted in the elimination of some bandit terrorists.
A talented operative told PRNigeria that troops of 271 NAF Detachment in Birnin Gwari, and troops of the Nigerian Army FOB in Gwaska, rescued dozens of kidnapped victims at some point of the coordinated operations.
The operative said: “The sum of N60,000,000 in cash, petroleum products and sophisticated weapons, were recovered at some point of the operations.
“Other objects recovered with the aid of the troops from the suspects encompass vehicles, AK-47 rifles, magazines, a number of sorts of ammunition and cell phones.
“Meanwhile, we will refer the case of the arrested couriers who broadly speaking have identifications with protection groups to the Department of State Service (DSS) and Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) for further investigation.”
