Godwin Emefiele’s suspension from his position as governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has been justified by President Bola Tinubu, who has made the decision public.

According to reports, the revelation was made during a recent interactive meeting with Nigerians living in France and other nearby European nations.

The financial system in Nigeria is in a bad state under Emefiele’s leadership, according to President Tinubu, who also referred to it as rotten.

He emphasized that while Nigerians living abroad had trouble sending money home due to fluctuating exchange rates, this system allowed a select few to engage in illegal money-making activities.

President Tinubu reassured the audience, however, that these problems are now a thing of the past because the guilty party is now in the custody of law enforcement authorities. The financial system was corrupt, he said.

Few people were making huge sums of money with our money, and then you stopped sending money to our helpless parents. There were several windows, but they are all gone now. ”

The man is in the hands of authorities, something is being done about that, and they will take care of themselves, President Tinubu emphasized, stressing that appropriate actions are being taken to address the situation. ”.

Godwin Emefiele was removed from office as CBN Governor on June 9 by President Bola Tinubu. Emefiele was then detained by the Department of State Services (DSS) as he tried to cross a land border into another country.

Among the many accusations against Emefiele is that he has supported terrorism.
