Victor Boniface, the Nigerian striker, has been selected for the Bundesliga team after his exceptional performances with Bayer Leverkusen.
The Nigerian international adapted swiftly to the German league following his transfer from the Belgian club Union Saint-Gilloise for an estimated €20 million during the previous summer transfer window.
At 23 years old, Boniface played a crucial role in Bayer Leverkusen’s historic first Bundesliga title win. Despite being sidelined for 11 games due to injury, the Super Eagles forward managed to net 11 goals, becoming one of the top scorers for Xabi Alonso’s team.
Overall, Boniface tallied an impressive 18 goals and 10 assists in 30 appearances across all competitions this season.
