A part four student of the university of ilorin, Abdurrazaq Dauda Gidado recently hinted on intention to contest as member kwara state house of Assembly in the coming 2023 Election.
Abdurrazaq, who is a student of Common and islamic law, in a statement issued by his spokesperson, said he is always putting the interest of people first that consultation is still ongoing.
In what is made available to this news outlet, which reads: “An aura of sincere appreciation, abiding admiration, and hope for a better future, better Nigeria and better Kwara.
“We appreciate the voice of the people and sincere appreciation goes to them because suddenly, with no discernable preparation, thousands of people in alliance of Friends of GIDADO(FOG) have really shown their unconditional love and readiness to put Him (Gidado) forward in serving the good people of His constituency (Alanamu/Ajikobi) and it is His vehement desire, as always to continue to “put them first”.
“Dearest friends, in lieu of the flier which has circulated widely and indicated His intent to become a member of the 10th House of Assembly of our dear State.
“It will interest you all to know that GIDADO is ready to serve even though the intent to contest came very late, consultation is still ongoing with major stakeholders of our progressive party. Final decision will be unleashed as the picking of nomination form closes today, 12th of May, 2022.
“Leadership in its most basic form is doing what needs to be done when it needs to be done, no matter how difficult. He is ready to carry the mantle of leadership as if it weighs nothing, but it is a very heavy burden but we as youths , in our colloquium should be ready to carry this burden with him.
“We deeply appreciate you all for the courage and resilience, especially the trust you have deposited in Him, by putting Him forward to represent you.
“I assure you all of His willingness to serve in every way humanly possible if the time is now or later. That is our promise and pledge that we will continue to PUT YOU FIRST, at all times.
