In a statement released today October 11, the
director and founder of MURIC, Professor
Ishaq Akintola stated that it doesn’t
subscribe to severe torture but the students
needed to be punished for going against the
teachings they received from their teachers.
According to him, the students had to be
punished so as to stop them from badly
influencing other students. He also said the
people who are currently kicking against the
punishment meted on the students are the
same people who would send their wards to
Big Brother Naija to participate in shameful
public sex.
