The governorship candidate of the Action Alliance, Tope Balogun has debunked viral post suggesting he stepped down for the Lagos state Governor Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu in the Saturday governorship election.
In a chat, Action Alliance candidate reliably state that he has not stepped from the race. He also confirmed the viral post is an attempt to blackmail his ambition.
In another report, Balogun who spoke the BLISS NEWS said there is no agreement reached with the Governor on stepping down for him in the governorship race.
The governorship candidate, however, reliably confirmed to this medium that he held a meeting with the Minister of Interior, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola where he was talked on stepping down for Sanwo-Olu, but he said there has been no agreement reached on the process.
“I am not stepping down for anyone. I am still in the governorship race until the result is announced.
It is true that the minister of interior held a meeting with me on stepping down for Sanwo-Olu but there has been no agreement on this, I have not been contacted by the Governor nor anyone from his office.”
When asked if he had been contacted will he have loved to step down, Balogun said; “if we have been contacted, it is possible, we are not in the race for personal interest; we would have presented our Lagos rebirth agenda to him, our mission is to see to greater Lagos. We are focused on making sure Lagos state gets even development.
