Man charged to Court for Stealing Okada Spare Parts

A 34-year-old man named Kabiru Isyaka was on Wednesday, appeared before a Sharia Court in Kano, charged with stealing Okada spare parts valued at N800,000 Naira.

Isyaka, a resident of Darmanawa Quarters in Kano, has been accused of theft and has denied the charges in court.

The Prosecution, Insp Abdullahi Wada, told the court that the complainant, Labaran Hamza, reported the matter at the Naibawa Police Station, Kano, on Dec. 13.

Wada said that the defendant broke into the complainant’s shop at Naibawa Quarters, Kano and stole motorcycle spare parts valued N800,000.

The defendant is accused of stealing various automotive components, including the engine block, cylinders, filters, spanners, and silencer.

The Judge, Malam Umar Lawal-Abubakar, remanded the defendant in a correctional center, and adjourned the case until Jan. 15, 2025 for mention
