The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared the ex parte order confirming the suspension of the party’s national chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, by a Kano State High Court, as unenforceable.
During a solidarity visit to the former Kano state governor at the APC headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday, April 17, the Ganduje ward executive passed a vote of confidence on the chairman.
The party has labeled the order that prevents Ganduje from continuing to act as the chairman as invalid.
Prof. Abdulkarim Kana, the national legal adviser of the APC, informed journalists on Wednesday, April 17, that the order from Kano is not enforceable and was allegedly obtained through fraudulent means.
Kana announced that the ward executives intend to petition the National Judicial Council (NJC) to address the conduct of the high court judge.
In response to the order, APC national chairman Ganduje assured the ward executives that he remains unaffected, dismissing those who claimed to suspend him as impostors.
