Habeeb Hamzat, better known as Peller, a well-known Nigerian streamer, has found himself in the midst of yet another dramatic episode, this time within the walls of a royal palace.
Currently on a nationwide tour to engage with fans and discover new locations, Peller’s visit to the Alake of Egbaland’s palace in Abeokuta took an unexpected turn. What was meant to be a warm connection with his followers quickly soured upon his arrival at the residence of Oba Adedotun Gbadebo.
In a video circulating online, a voice, presumed to belong to a palace chief, voiced concerns over Peller and his team’s conduct while entering the palace. Their approach was labeled as unsuitable for such a respected setting, prompting the chiefs to intervene and halt their visit.
They informed Peller and his associates that they would no longer be granted an audience with the monarch and instructed them to leave the premises at once.
Sensing the tension, Peller promptly exited, urging his team to follow suit as the atmosphere grew more charged.
This incident comes on the heels of a recent controversy in Benin, where the Benin Traditional Council reportedly put out a call for his arrest for visiting a palace without the necessary permissions. Peller’s management, at the time, denied any misconduct, asserting that appropriate protocols had been adhered to.
