Ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar has paid a visit to the newly crowned Olubadan, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate met with the Olubadan on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, alongside key leaders of the African Democratic Congress, including former Kaduna governor Nasiru El-Rufai and ex-PDP national chairman Iyorchia Ayu.
In a video shared by BBC Yoruba, Oba Rashidi was seen receiving the delegation at his residence in Bodija, Ibadan.
Oba Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja was installed as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland last Friday.
His coronation was graced by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and several dignitaries, including prominent politicians and traditional rulers such as the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar III, and the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Akeem Owoade I.
Born on September 25, 1944, Ladoja was elected governor of Oyo State in April 2003 under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party and assumed office on May 29 of that year.
He also served as a Senator during the Third Republic.
