Nigerian Government pegs Admission Age at ’16’

The federal government has officially pegged admission entry age into higher institutions at sixteen (16).

This came as the government issued warnings on admission conducted outside of the Central Admission Processing System, CAPS.

Stressing that such as is illegal and perpetrators would be prosecuted.

Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, said this on Tuesday while declaring open, the ongoing Policy Meeting of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, in Abuja.
