“I do not regret it” – Man explains Why he killed NYSC girlfriend

Timileyin Ajayi, 32, has stated that he does not regret the killing of his girlfriend, Salome Eleojo Adaidu.

Ajayi is presently detained at the Nasarawa Police Command’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Lafia.

He was arrested for the murder of his alleged girlfriend, Adaidu, who is a 24-year-old member of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, serving at Nicon Insurance in the Nation’s capital, Abuja.

The individual was apprehended for the alleged murder of Adaidu, a 24-year-old participant in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.

Adaidu was assigned to Nicon Insurance in Abuja at the time of her passing.

Salome was said to have been murdered when she visited the suspect at his house in the Papalana axis at New Karshi in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

Ajayi was paraded at the headquarters of the Nasarawa State Police Command on Tuesday alongside the knife and machetes he used to commit the crime.

Timi was nabbed while trying to dispose of the victim’s head on January 12 after killing her and dismembering her body parts.

Timileyin confessed to the crime while answering to questions in an exclusive interview from Channels Television

“I killed her because we don’t have each other all the time, it’s not something I planned.

“It happened on that day and it happened. Not that I have the plan in mind, she was cheating,” he said.

“She hides most of the things from me most of the time. I got to know from her phone. I saw her chats with other guys on the phone, that was why I decided,” he said.

Asked if he regrets his action, he added, “I don’t have any regrets because life is reciprocal. That is what I thought, if you must do something to someone, you have to be reciprocal with that person.

“You have to understand what that person is going through so that you can actually put yourself in the position that the person is going through, that is why I don’t have any regrets because we were actually compatible.”
