President Bola Tinubu has sacked five ministers from his cabinet, relieving them of their appointment with immediate effect.
The affected ministers include Barr. Uju-Ken Ohanenye Minister of Women Affairs, Lola Ade-John Minister of Tourism, Prof Tahir Mamman, Minister of Education, Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo Minister of State, Housing and Urban Development, and Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim Minister of Youth Development.
The development was confirmed by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy on Wednesday.
The President also changed the nomenclature of the Ministry of Niger Delta, renaming it the Ministry of Regional Development.
Recall that President Tinubu had threatened to sack some of his ministers found to have underperformed in the last year since the administration came on board.
