The newly inaugurated President of the federal republic of Nigeria, Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has introduced his administration as to be simply guided by 5 principles.
President Tinubu was today sworn-in as the 16th president of Nigeria at Eagle Square, Abuja the Federal Capital Territory with notable men and women around the globe in attendance.
Bola Tinubu who was declared as the President-Elect by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC in the February 25th, 2023 General Election with about 3 million distant of votes to lead his closed rival, Alh. Atiku Abubakar of PDP has been challenged by his major contenders, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi of Labour Party with excuses that the electioneering was full of malpractice.
While taking the mantle of leadership from his predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari, Ashiwaju Tinubu noted that his tenure would be run on 5 principles which he refers to as “Simple Guiding Principles” as to deliver Nigeria.
According to the President, “the principles that will guide our administration are simple.” He explained that, Nigeria will be governed by the constitution together with the rule of law and that the sovereignty of Nigeria would be stable away from terror and its other forms adding that women and youths will be prominently featured in the reign among others.
“Nigeria will be impartially governed according to the constitution and the rule of law. We shall defend the nation from terror and all forms of criminality that threaten the peace and stability of our country and our subregion. In our administration, women and youths will be featured prominently.” The president stressed.
He also emphasized that “We shall remodeled our economy to bring about growth and development through job creation, food security and an end to extreme poverty. Our government will continue to take proactive steps such as championing a credit culture to discourage corruption while strengthening the effectiveness and efficiency of the various anti-corruption agencies.
Moreover, the entire speech has generated different reactions from Nigerians where most people believed in promises mentioned by the new president and some are not yet convinced, while some are just making cruise with the whole thing.
The inaugural event was attended by joyous Nigerians who are happily jubilating at the arrival of the Renewed Hope, Presidents from other countries, delegates of US and Canada among many others.
